The French Toast Trick That Saved My Mornings

Mommy Hack!

I love finding little ways to make life easier — not just for me, but for everyone involved. Back when I was a full-time stay-at-home mom and my kids were still really little, my daughter was obsessed with French toast. I mean OBSESSED. It was requested every single morning without fail.

Now listen… I was already spending a huge portion of my day in the kitchen making breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. Making homemade French toast step-by-step every morning started feeling like a full-time job on its own.

So I decided to work smarter, not harder.

I started buying one or two of the freshly baked French bread loaves from the grocery store — they’re usually only about $2–$3 each. Then I’d set aside a little time to make a big batch of French toast all at once and freeze them in freezer-safe zip-top bags.

And honestly? BEST decision ever.

Now all we had to do was pop a few pieces into the toaster oven, air fryer, or microwave for a quick reheat, and just like that… breakfast was ready in minutes.

Fast.
Easy.
Kid-approved.
And way less stressful on tired mom mornings.

Quick Tips:
• Cut the French toast into rectangles for toddlers, quick snacks, or easy on-the-go breakfasts.
• Add powdered sugar, fresh fruit, syrup, or eggs on the side.
• Perfect for busy school mornings when everybody is rushing out the door.
• Freeze in smaller portions so you can grab only what you need.

Because sometimes the best mommy hacks are the ones that save your sanity before 8 a.m.
